It was my 20th birthday on saturday and it started the usual way by opening my presents in bed. I got a Sony Vaio Ultrabook from my parents (which i am using right now) which makes my old acer laptop seem prehistoric, I’m loving it so far. I also got a fancy camera which i got from my other relatives which will be so useful for taking photos of my year abroad. I got some lovely surprises from my mommy and sister and some great presents from my friends too. I celebrated by having a lovely lunch at home with my grandparents and later on went for dinner at Edmunds in Birmingham, this is what me and my sister wore:
Edmunds was a fantastic restaurant and i would definitely go back. The atmostphere and food were infact better than Turners in Harbourne, which has a michelin star. The restaurant was small and cosy and had a very relaxed and friendly atmostphere and i started with a cheeky glass of prosecco (it was my birthday after all). The menu was set out in a michelin style and the food was superb. I had ‘duck and cherries’ to start which was a duck liver pate with sweet and sour cherries, for my main course i had rabbit, which came with pea puree, spinach, rabbit kidneys and liver, and a confit of rabbit wrapped in a crispy filo pastry. For pudding i had a toffee souffle with bitter chocolate ice cream. All four of us were delighted with our meals and impressed with the whole experience, which is a rare thing for the Naiks, so it made my birthday a very special occasion.
I had a wonderful weekend and lots of lovely messages, cards and gifts. I shared it with fantastic company and i couldnt be happier!
