The most important thing I learnt was that I absolutely love the place! Home will always be with my family in England, but Barcelona is a pretty good runner up. Once you have friends, somewhere to live and a bit of a routine its easy to feel at home anywhere. I love everything about Barcelona, the food, the architecture, the weather, etc etc… I’m not sure what I want to do when I graduate or where I want to do it, but living in Spain for a few years and teaching English while I decide isn’t the worst idea I’ve had. I’ve just signed up to do a TEFL course as a bit of a back up plan.
I did so much this year and really felt like I made the most of it. Although I did work hard at Uni and actually did better than the Catalans in some classes, it really was one big holiday! Here are my highlights:
Visiting friends in Seville in March- The Cathedral
The last thing I did on my Year Abroad was to visit my boyfriends mom in Molinos, a tiny town in Aragon, in the middle of nowhere. It was so beautiful and had a waterfall in the middle of the town. We even went swimming in a dam which was gorgeous!
