The shoe of spring

I am completely obsessed with pointed flats. Pointed flats just don’t seem to be going out of fashion and since the spring we’ve all wished for is pretty clouded over – I’m still opting for flats over sandals.

These are my all time favourite. They’re black, pony skin and Celine inspired. Great with a dress or with cropped trousers. These have been perfect with tights all winter and are still great with bare ankles and leather jacket.

These are more summery as the sides are cut out. I love the lace and sheer detail, it makes them extra girly and rather D&G Russian bordello. The point is really sharp on these which makes them extra chic. The strap around the ankle means they are most flattering with trousers, but delicate enough to pair with a little dress. Boyfriend or ripped jeans would be great with these to juxtapose the girlyness.

A leopard print shoe is a must have – I love wearing taupey colours and these go great with anything black too. As these are quite strappy, I think they look best with something a bit summery – a pair of wide leg trousers or peg leg style, or even some denim shorts.

Another pair I love (which I unfortunately don’t own) are these from ASOS. I love the powder blue colour and the ankle straps.
